AB540/Undocumented Student Emergency Fund
The Chancellor made a significant contribution to a retention fund for undocumented students named, “AB540 Student Emergency Fund”. These funds assist AB540/Undocumented students who are facing financial hardships.
In the past, we’ve used these funds to support students with Housing Crisis, medical procedures, and services, food insecurities, immigration-related expenses. Emergencies are unexpected, and if you are unsure if you are eligible for these funds, I encourage you to make an appointment with an EOP Counselor or peer mentor as we have different funding sources. Our commitment is to support you as best as possible and address your needs.
To make an appointment with an EOP Counselor, please call EOP’s front desk at (831) 459-2296. Also, students can make appointments via Slug Success. Click here to make an appointment via Slug Success. An EOP Counselor and/or peer mentor can create a budget to assess your circumstance. After you meet with an EOP Counselor, we will determine your eligibility and send you an EOP Award Notice with follow-up items.
