EOP Drop-In Advising

What kind of advising is right for me?

In addition to the comprehensive support provided by our dedicated EOP counselors, we want you to know that if counselors are not available, our EOP ambassadors and EOP administrative receptionists are also here to assist you.

EOP Ambassador Drop-In and Virtual Advising Appointments

Ambassadors serve as representatives of EOP by supporting the promotion of EOP and campus-wide workshops and events, addressing questions students may have about various resources and supporting students in getting involved in the EOP community. They also support prospective EOP students interested in learning about the UCSC campus.

  • See advising calendar below for dates and times of drop-in EOP Ambassador Advising at the EOP office and virtual advising appointments.
  • Drop-in is great for quick questions, course recommendations, or help with scheduling an appointment. Bring a computer or tablet in case you need to log into your MyUCSC portal.

Virtually Chat with an EOP Admin Receptionist

The EOP Admin team can help answer general questions about the programs, services, and resources offered within the Educational Opportunity Programs (EOP) at UCSC. Students can receive guidance and assistance with various aspects of EOP to ensure they receive accurate and helpful information and get support with scheduling an appointment with the next available EOP Counselor.

  • When: See our advising schedule below for Admin Receptionist chat hours
  • How: Add (+) eop@ucsc.eduto your Google Hangouts, using your UCSC email (chat function is on the bottom left of your gmail screen)

...still not sure which of these advising options is best for you? Send a quick email to eop@ucsc.edu with your name and student ID, and just say "I'd like help receiving EOP Advising and I don't know where to start" and we can help you from there!
