Yamilet Vigil-Carrillo

Hello, everyone! My name is Yamilet Vigil-Carrillo, and I am currently a second-year student majoring in Psychology. In my free time, I enjoy exploring new hiking trails with friends and taking walks along the beach to see the beautiful sunset. Spending quality time with my family is also something I deeply value. As an EOP Ambassador, I am excited to support and guide students toward success in order to help them reach their full potential. I look forward to meeting and connecting with all of you!

Ambassadors 2

Kayla Flores-Casiano

Hi, I’m Kayla Flores-Casiano, a third-year student majoring in Global Community Health with a minor in Latin American and Latino Studies (LALS). Originally from Oakland, CA, I’m proud to be a first-generation college student. Throughout my time at university, I’ve been fortunate to be part of the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), which has provided me with valuable support and resources. During my first year, I joined EOP RISE, a program for STEM students, which connected me with peer mentors who offered guidance on academics, course planning, and navigating the challenges of being a STEM major.
Their support has been incredibly helpful in shaping my academic journey. Additionally, I've benefited from the TAPS program, which offers free access to textbooks and classroom materials—something that’s made a huge difference in alleviating the financial burden of college expenses. As an EOP ambassador, I’m excited to pay it forward and help other students discover the resources available to them while also ensuring they feel supported throughout their college experience.
