EOP/RCC Dining Hall Cooking Classes

The EOP Wellness Cooking Classes were first introduced during Spring 2019 in Collaboration with the Rachel Carson College Dining Hall. Wade Garza (The Unit Manager & Chef) collaborated with EOP in order to provide students an opportunity to learn more about how to use kitchen staples, to prepare and curate affordable meals, and to build better relationships with food. All classes took place on campus @ Rachel Carson College Dining Hall, Rachel Carson College Cafe and the Rachel Carson Patio near westfield. All recipes were tailored to all dietary types that included vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free dishes. These classes are made possible through the efforts of Chefs Wade Garza and Ian McNeilly, the Rachel Carson Dining Staff, the UCSC Farm, and the Wellness Program.
