Peer Advising Leaders (PALs)

Peer Advising Leaders (PALs) are current undergraduate students that provide academic, career, and social support to EOP students at the University of California, Santa Cruz. PALs connect with students one-on-one to address individual questions during drop-in hours, facilitate group discussions during workshops, and connect students to resources by collaborating across campus with programs and services designed to retain and graduate students from diverse backgrounds.

PALs host drop-in peer advising Monday-Friday. They are trained to address questions about

  • EOP Programs and Services
  • The Transition to College
  • Campus Resources
  • Extracurricular Activities
  • Scholarship Opportunities
  • General Education and Graduation Requirements
  • Time Management
  • Budgeting
  • Life After College

Additionally, PALs

  • Represent EOP during campus outreach activates
  • Publish the EOP Spotlight Newsletter
  • Manage all EOP social media platforms (connect with us @EOPUCSC)
  • Facilitate workshops in partnerships with The Colleges
