Hi Everyone! My name is Shannel Joseph and I am currently serving as the Interim ABC Retention Specialist. I am originally from Los Angeles, CA (Specifically South Central & Inglewood areas). I am a proud Afro Latina (my parents are from Belize & Guatemala). I love music, art, kayaking, hiking and cooking. I attended UCSC as an undergrad and received my BA in Psychology. I have been working for EOP for 3 years now and also worked at EOP as an undergrad for 2 years. I am extremely grateful to still have a strong tie with this organization. I always tell folks that if it wasn’t for this organization and the wonderful people that work here, I would have not graduated from UCSC. I am filled with joy that I am able to give back to those who have paved the way for me. I look forward to meeting you all or continue to work with you if we have met already.
